Camino School Site Council - Parents Needed

You are invited to become an active participant at Camino School.  There are many opportunities for involvement.  The Camino School Site Council is one of those great opportunities. There are 3 parent openings. Parents interested in running for Site-Council can attain an applicationby clicking here or by stopping by the school office. Applications are due back to the school office by Friday, October 14th.


Run For The Gold September 24th

Event details:

  • Saturday, September 24, 2016
  • Union Mine High School – 6530 Koki Lane, El Dorado
  • 1k, 2k and 5k run/walk
  • 9:00 a.m. – races begin

Participation details:

  • FREE to El Dorado County 1st-8th grade students.
  • FREE BBQ for all to follow races
  • Runners will receive a race t-shirt, runner bag, professionally chipped runner bib, and medal.
  • Parents may accompany students on the track but are not to register (this event is for the students).
  • Registration opens Monday, August 1www.runforthegold.net
  • Register early! For safety reasons, registration will again be capped at 350 students.

  • Emergency Procedure +

    Should an emergency arise at school, we will use our emergency phone notification system to send out a message to advise you of the situation. As a parent you can ensure that fire fighters, law enforcement and school officials are able to handle an emergency.  Please do not rush to the school to pick up your child.  Emergency plans are in place to reunite students with their parents as quickly as possible.   
  • Extended Day Program +

    The Extended Day Program is held Monday through Friday in Room 12 from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m and from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.  During business hours, you may reach Extended Day at 644-2204, ext. 224.  For more information on the Extended Day Program, please contact the El Dorado County Office of Education at 622-7130, ext. 298.
  • Early Head Start +

    Head Start State Preschool:  Child Development Programs & Services offers high quality, early education programs for families with children ages birth to 5.  Applications are now available for the 2013-2014 preschool program year.  Call for more information: (530) 295-2270. 
  • Drug Free School Zone +

    Camino Union School District is a drug free school zone.  Drugs, alcohol and tobacco are prohibited!
